the benefit for the "fair trade artzine" was this night at the inside/outside art gallery in tremont. this night was also the opening of "viva libre books & music" which is located inside the inside/outside.

the music consisted of "du/els" which was various performers "jamming" with others out turned out quite well considering it was all improvised. cleveland bands: jj magazine, new lou reeds and "a real knife head" also performed.

r.a. washington (rafeeq) will be unveiling not only his new book/music shop "viva libre books and music" that will be located in the rear of the inside-outside art gallery (2688 W 14th st) but also the debut of the "fair trade artzine" will be available.
rafeeq plans to keep the shop open from 10am-1am and will have a wide range of books and music (a "listening booth" is being installed as we speak).
this is good news for tremont considering that it has been about a decade that tremont has had a bookstore.
if i can "secure" a digital projector there will be a digital-slideshow during the "a real knife head" set. i'll post more details when i get them.
